What is Elody?
Elody is a dating app for real-life encounters: it uses Bluetooth to show you people who are genuinely near you right now – instead of endless swiping through the whole city.
Is the Elody app in English?
Not at the moment. The Elody app is currently only available in German – all screens and texts in the app are in German. This website is also available in English so you can find out about Elody.
When is Elody launching?
Elody is currently in development. Join the waiting list – then you’ll be among the first to hear as soon as things get going.
How much does Elody cost?
The basic version is free. A Premium option is also planned (one membership, three plan lengths). This site is pre-launch – nothing is being sold yet, and the prices shown are the planned launch prices.
What do I get from joining the waiting list?
The first 100 people on the waiting list get 3 months of Premium free at launch. Details in the promotion terms.
Can others see my exact location?
No. Elody detects proximity via Bluetooth, and your exact location isn’t shared in the process. You decide for yourself who you get in touch with.
What data does this website store?
For the waiting list: your email address – used solely to inform you about the launch and the “3 months of Premium free” promotion – plus the related technical data: sign-up and confirmation time, status, list position and the exact wording of your consent. If you submit an idea, your text and email address are added – so we can assign a possible prize to you and ask follow-up questions; if you vote, we also store a shortened, hashed value of your IP address so that nobody can vote more than once. No tracking, no advertising cookies – only strictly necessary cookies for protected areas and your language choice. More in the privacy policy.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, at any time. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent with effect for the future.
